A small red leather sling bag, with hand-batik floral motifs in orange, yellow, pink and cream scattered across the body.
Made by artisans in Bolpur, in Birbhum district of West Bengal — the leather-batik craft here grew around Santiniketan. The leather is full-grain, hand-cut into a small domed shape. The red is dyed deep; the floral motifs — daisies, simple blooms, leaves and vines — are applied by hand in stages, each colour set down before the next.
The bag carries two ways. Two short top handles for hand-carry; one long adjustable leather strap for sling and crossbody wear. The long strap is detachable.
