Jamdani is a weaving technique, not a printed pattern: the bonolota — a creeper, a vining motif — is built into the cloth on the loom itself, with extra weft threads inserted by hand between the warps. It is among the most labour-intensive weaving techniques in the world. The peach is muted — closer to terracotta than to fruit, and easy to drape on a working morning or a Sunday afternoon.
