A small green leather sling bag, with hand-batik polka-dot motifs in red, pink, blue and beige scattered across the body.
Made by artisans in Bolpur, in Birbhum district of West Bengal — the leather-batik craft here grew around Santiniketan. The leather is full-grain, hand-cut into a small domed shape. The green is dyed deep; the polka-dot motifs are applied by hand in stages, each colour set down before the next. The dots aren't simple spots — each is a small bullseye of concentric rings.
The bag carries two ways. Two short top handles for hand-carry; one long adjustable leather strap for sling and crossbody wear. The long strap is detachable.
